Privacy Policy

PriceTrack PH is an independent price-history service for public marketplace product information. This policy explains what the PriceTrack PH browser extension and website collect, why the information is used, and how it is handled.
Information we collect
When the extension runs on a supported Shopee Philippines product page, it may collect and transmit only the public product information needed to provide price history:
- Product URL and Shopee shop/product identifiers
- Product title, shop name and public product image
- Public prices, original prices, variations, SKUs and stock availability
- The time the public product information was observed
- A randomly generated extension installation identifier used for abuse prevention and recording limits
The installation identifier is not a Shopee account identifier. It is hashed before it is used for recording quotas.
Firefox and Microsoft Edge browser extensions
The PriceTrack PH extensions for Firefox and Microsoft Edge serve the same purpose: collecting publicly visible Shopee Philippines product price observations for PriceTrack PH price-history tracking. When a supported product page is visited, the extension may read the Shopee shop ID, product ID, product title, product URL, current price, observation date and time, and, when available, product variation IDs, names and prices. The extension transmits these product observations to PriceTrack PH over HTTPS.
The extensions use a generated installation identifier for extension operation, recording controls and abuse prevention. This identifier is not a Shopee account ID. Product-page URLs and observation times may reveal which supported Shopee product pages were visited; the extensions do not need to record general browsing history across unrelated websites for their price-tracking purpose.
PriceTrack PH uses submitted observations to maintain and display public product price history and to coordinate further product checks. Public product information and historical prices may be visible to other website visitors. Browser permissions to access Shopee pages, browser tabs and local extension storage are used to support product detection, the extension interface and price-history navigation.
Disabling or uninstalling the extension stops new observations from that installation. Previously submitted public product-price observations may remain in the historical dataset. Questions about extension data or removal requests can be sent using the Contact option on the website.
Information we do not collect
PriceTrack PH does not collect Shopee passwords, authentication credentials, private messages, payment-card information, checkout information, or the contents of unrelated webpages. A Shopee account is not required to use the extension.
How information is used
- Build and display public product price history
- Track price and stock changes for product variations
- Prevent duplicate records, spam and excessive automated submissions
- Maintain, secure and improve the PriceTrack PH service
Sharing and service providers
We do not sell user data. Information is processed only to operate PriceTrack PH. Hosting and database providers, including Vercel and Supabase, process information on our behalf as necessary to provide the service. Public marketplace product details and price history may be displayed publicly on PriceTrack PH.
Advertising and cookies on the website
PriceTrack PH may display advertisements provided by Google AdSense on its website. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a visitor's prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables Google and its partners to serve ads based on visits to this and other sites. These advertising cookies are separate from the product information collected by the PriceTrack PH extension; we do not send extension installation identifiers or Shopee account information to AdSense for ad targeting.
Visitors can opt out of personalized advertising in Google's Ad Settings. Visitors can also opt out of some third-party vendors' uses of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info. Browser settings can be used to restrict or clear cookies. If additional ad networks serve ads on this website, this policy will identify them and explain their choices.
Retention and security
Public product and price observations may be retained to provide historical comparisons. Abuse-prevention records are retained only as needed to enforce recording limits and protect the service. Information is transmitted over HTTPS. Access to administrative database credentials is restricted to the server-side collector and those credentials are not included in the extension.
Your choices
You can stop collection by disabling or uninstalling the extension. You may also disable completion notifications in the extension popup. For questions or removal requests concerning submitted information, contact PriceTrack PH through the contact form on the website.
Chrome Web Store Limited Use
PriceTrack PH uses information only to provide or improve its disclosed single purpose. We do not use or transfer user data for personalized advertising, creditworthiness, lending, or purposes unrelated to product price history. Our use of information complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
Contact messages and attachments
If you contact PriceTrack PH, the name, email address, subject, message, and optional attachment you provide are sent through our email provider. Attachments are not placed in public product-history records or stored in Supabase Storage. A copy may remain in the PriceTrack PH contact mailbox and the email provider according to their normal retention practices.
